Short answer: a Duck costs 1,200g and lives in a Big Coop. At full friendship it produces every 2 days and earns about 122g a day selling its products as they are, or 249g a day made into artisan goods by an Artisan player. That makes it one of the lower earners (number 9 of 11 by raw income).
Quick facts
| Building | Big Coop |
|---|---|
| Price | 1,200g |
| Days to mature | 5 |
| Produces | Every 2 days |
| Regular product | Duck Egg (95g) |
| Large product | Duck Feather (250g), chance at full friendship about 29.11% |
Income by hearts
Animal friendship is counted in hearts, 200 points each, up to five. Friendship raises the chance of silver, gold and iridium products and of the Large product, so income climbs as you pet and feed it. Gold per day for one animal, with happiness at the maximum:
| Hearts | Products a day | Gold a day, raw | Gold a day, artisan goods (Artisan) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0.5 | 57g | 252g |
| 1 | 0.5 | 66g | 248g |
| 2 | 0.5 | 74g | 245g |
| 3 | 0.5 | 82g | 242g |
| 4 | 0.5 | 90g | 239g |
| 5 | 0.5 | 122g | 249g |
Going from no hearts to five takes a Duck from 57g to 122g a day, an increase of 114%. Most of that comes from better quality, so petting daily in the first weeks is worth the time.
Artisan goods
The products of a Duck can be turned into artisan goods, which is where the processed column above comes from. One animal at full friendship keeps this much machine time busy:
- Mayonnaise Machine: 0.04 machine(s) per animal
Machines run the whole day, so a figure below one means a single machine can look after several animals. The Artisan profession adds 40% to the price of goods like these, but not to raw products.
