Short answer: a Ostrich lives in a Barn and is not sold in a shop. At full friendship it produces every 7 days and earns about 149g a day selling its products as they are, or 659g a day made into artisan goods by an Artisan player. That makes it a middle earner (number 8 of 11 by raw income).

Income by hearts

Animal friendship is counted in hearts, 200 points each, up to five. Friendship raises the chance of silver, gold and iridium products, so income climbs as you pet and feed it. Gold per day for one animal, with happiness at the maximum:

One Ostrich, by friendship hearts
Hearts	Products a day	Gold a day, raw	Gold a day, artisan goods (Artisan)
0	0.14	91g	404g
1	0.14	99g	437g
2	0.14	106g	467g
3	0.14	111g	493g
4	0.14	116g	515g
5	0.14	149g	659g

Going from no hearts to five takes a Ostrich from 91g to 149g a day, an increase of 64%. Most of that comes from better quality, so petting daily in the first weeks is worth the time.

Artisan goods

The products of a Ostrich can be turned into artisan goods, which is where the processed column above comes from. One animal at full friendship keeps this much machine time busy:

Mayonnaise Machine: 0.02 machine(s) per animal

Machines run the whole day, so a figure below one means a single machine can look after several animals. The Artisan profession adds 40% to the price of goods like these, but not to raw products.

Daily luck is counted as zero, an average day.
