Sheep in Stardew Valley: Income and Price

Short answer: a Sheep costs 8,000g and lives in a Deluxe Barn. At full friendship it produces every 3 days and earns about 295g a day selling its products as they are, or 562g a day made into artisan goods by an Artisan player. That makes it a middle earner (number 5 of 11 by raw income).

Income by hearts

Animal friendship is counted in hearts, 200 points each, up to five. Friendship raises the chance of silver, gold and iridium products, so income climbs as you pet and feed it. Gold per day for one animal, with happiness at the maximum:

Going from no hearts to five takes a Sheep from 121g to 295g a day, an increase of 144%. Most of that comes from better quality, so petting daily in the first weeks is worth the time.

Artisan goods
